Sneydes/Point Cook Road intersection update Nov’19-                                                                          

              Delighted to hear that the local member of parliament for Altona Districts met with the Minister for Roads and Road Safety, Ms Jaala Pulford to discuss safety concerns arising from traffic congestion at the intersection of Sneydes and Point Cook Road. Concerns over this intersection have been raised at numerous forums over an extended period including depositions from the Point Cook Action Group to local members of parliament, council representatives, the Minister for Roads, VicRoads(Department of Transport), RACV along with numerous articles in local papers and in social media.

More recently council passed a motion which called on the Minister for Roads to provide much needed funding for traffic lights at this intersection. The Point Cook Action Group would like to thank everyone for supporting our extensive advocacy program which is being heard at senior levels of government. We remain hopeful for a positive outcome from the meeting with the Minister for Roads and Road Safety.
